Matching Gifts
Thousands of companies have Matching Gifts programs that double
the tax-deductible donations made by their employees. Typically,
to participate in a matching gift program, you will need to
fill out a single form provided by your employer and enclose
it with your donation. Ask about your company's Matching Gift
program, and double your donation!
United Way & Workplace Campaigns
You can make a donation to Youth Radio through the United Way or similar workplace
giving programs. Just designate Youth Radio, 1701 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94612,
as the recipient. Federal and State employees also have work place
campaigns, so check with your employer for the proper procedures to follow.
Vehicle Donations
We have established an arrangement with Donate For Charity to process our vehicle
donations. Donate For Charity arranges a free vehicle pickup, handles all the
DMV issues, sells the vehicle at auction, and distributes the net proceeds to
Youth Radio. By donating, you’ll avoid the headache of selling a used
vehicle, help support Youth Radio, and receive a receipt entitling you to declare
the fair market value of your vehicle as a tax deduction. When you’re

Donations in Honor of Friends and Loved Ones
Increasingly, individuals are remembering their friends and families on the
occasion of their birthday, wedding, anniversary, or other special event with
a gift to Youth Radio. To make a gift in honor of someone special, include the
name and address of the honoree, and send it along with your donation to Youth
Radio. Youth Radio will send special card to the honoree, informing them of
your gift. To make a memorial gift, please include the name and address of the
next of kin so they may be notified of your gift.
Gifts of Stock or Bonds
You or your company can donate stock, stock options and other
investments to Youth Radio in one simple transaction. A gift
of stock owned for more than one year entitles you to a charitable
deduction for the full market value at the time the gift is
made. You benefit by avoiding capital gains taxes and reducing
income taxes. Youth Radio gains by receiving property that
is easy to sell and will generate funds to support our program.
