KQED

Youth Radio produces a public affairs show for KQED-FM in the Bay Area. The topics range from odd occupations and dating, to more serious issues, such as AIDS and smoking. Our goal is to inform and educate youth about issues that affect us. Listen in on the last Sunday of every month at 4:30 p.m. and again at midnight on KQED-88.5 FM in the Bay Area.

In addition, Youth Radio produces a monthly two minute "Perspective" on KQED-FM, where young commentators reflect on current events and talk about their experiences with various issues such as race, politics, the economy, and culture. Listen in every 4th Thursday on KQED-88.5 FM in the Bay Area at 6:07 am, 7:37 am, and 11:32 pm.

Including why some young folks are feeling good about switching from fries and cokes to veggies and oats. You’ll also hear from kids and parents on the birds and the bees talk. And, a story of family survival and perseverance in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina.

Youth Radio also profiles a youth organization that provides job opportunities for young people while aiding in the city’s rebuilding process and we ask young people the question: What role did God play in Hurricane Katrina?
