What’s up everyone? I'm doing okay, other than it’s been very hot
like 150 degrees with no wind. Where I am has an Internet café,
so you will hear me from time to time. Here are some of my most memorable moments
here so far:
Every day I’ve questioned why I made the decision to be
in the military. I’ve asked God to help me through the rough times, like
passing my P.T. (physical training) test. If I didn't pass I would have been
discharged from the military for not meeting the standards.
Since day one in boot camp, the Drill Sergeant told me and my
fellow privates that we would end up in the big sand box (Iraq) to play. They
loved to scare us sh**-less with reality. It’s like they get a kick out
of it.
It wasn’t just war that made me think the military was not
for me, but it made me question what I was doing.
Now I'm in Kuwait, 358 miles away from Baghdad. I have been here
for four weeks now, working hard at getting our vehicle ready to be shipped
back to the States. Just like any other job, you have down time, a little time
to chill or try to chill in my case. While the low ranking, E-4
and below interns are talking, I'm off to the side reading a magazine.
I see one soldier laughing in a blushing type of way. A group
of guys is rolling around on the ground while the ring leader keeps talking
about how the blushing soldier has a abnormally big penis. Eight and 1/2 inches
in the blushing soldier’s own words. I don't know how they got started
talking about someone’s penis, but they were in deep conversation a good
30 minutes, just talking about how big it is and how he can't find condoms to
fit him. Oh yeah, he’s a virgin.
Just a taste of a private’s life…
