It seems as though Auto-Tune is everywhere these days. On every rapper's voice and every T-Pain song. Grade school kids love auto-tune on everything. Folks who grew up listening to Roger Troutman, the king of Auto-Tune, hate the way it's being used in current times. This is where the dilemma of this video comes to play.
Martin Luther King Jr. was a leader of the African American civil rights movement. King's legacy is still relevant to this day for his acts to end racial discrimination and segregation with non-violence. He led the Montgomery Bus Boycott in 1955, he also led a march to Washington, where he gave his famous "I Have a Dream" speech, which you see in the video above. [Ed. note: sort of.] Martin Luther King is most known for his powerful voice when he delivers his speeches. I think folks who are not currently in grade school will take offensive to this video because this is a very important turning point in history that shouldn't be tampered with.
For music lovers, it's like taking the most valuable vinyl you own out of the plastic wrapping, and scratching it up with a cheese grater. You don't tamper with someone's valuables which can not be replaced. I also think this could be a great video for folks who are in grade school. Kids are currently idolizing Kanye West, T-Pain, Lil' Wayne and many other recording artists who use auto-tune excessively. So to them, it's the best thing since sliced bread, and because of that, this video will give them a chance to actually learn about Martin Luther King Jr. I'm pretty sure that more kids will be able to recite the whole "I Have A Dream" speech by watching this version, rather than the original.
