According to abcnews.com, President Bill Clinton was released from the hospital in Manhattan today. He went in yesterday because he was experiencing chest problems. Blocked blood flow lead to his chest pains. He needed and received 2 stents in his arteries, and as a result he went into surgery performed by Dr. Michael Collins and others for an hour. Clinton’s cardiologist Allen Schwartz found no evidence of him having any symptoms of a heart attack or any damage to the heart. A coronary artery supplies the heart with blood. The 2 stents on his artery may mean that he is not as vulnerable to have a heart attack as he was before.

His doctor said that the chest pains didn’t occur because of his choice of food or his way of living, but he should keep on being active because it’s good for his health. A coronary artery supplies the heart with blood. The reason surgery may be needed is because arteries bring blood to the heart muscle and can be clogged by plaque which is a very serious issue. Clogging of a coronary artery can cause a heart attack that can potentially kill you. Problems with your heart don’t always occur because of health issues. It can happen to anyone at any given time so make sure you stay healthy and stay active. Bill Clinton was a healthy victim of clogged arteries so be aware because who knows what can happen to you?
