Rihanna and Chris Brown have been one of the youngest controversial celebrities. They are making headlines, not for their music, but for their abusive relationship. After choking and punching ex-girlfriend Rihanna, today Chris Brown was sentenced to five years of probation and 1,400 hours of "labor-oriented service"

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg said in the sentencing she wants to see Brown do "actual physical labor, as opposed to some type of community service."

On top of that the singer must complete domestic violence counseling, stay 50 yards away from ex-girlfriend Rihanna, and 10 yards if the two are at the same industry event. These regulations are in place until 2014. Chris Brown’s sentencing was delayed because Brown’s documents which proposed a community service plan in Virginia did not arrived in time for the judge to review.
The judge said Brown's probation will be overseen by the state of California.
