BY-NC-SA Fashion bloggers are getting younger and younger. Girls as young as 14 are designing their own clothes lines and publishing them on their blogs. Because the internet is a modern way of getting ideas out in the open, a teenager’s opinion on the latest outfit could be given weight, just like an important fashion editor’s. Here’s a sampling of some of the top teenage bloggers.
First is The Cherry Blossom Girl, a blogger and designer from Paris. She does a lot of beautiful photography and her outfits seem as though they were made to go together. She has plenty to look at and admire. For as young as she looks, she sure has gotten a lot done -- including scarfs, belts, shoes, and bags). If you like photography, her blog is the place to go.
Second, TeenUgly, is one of the local crew in California. She puts out pictures with interesting captions to the side and adds in her own photo shoots here and there. She has awesome outfits too. Here are my three favorites-- Favorite outfit 1, Favorite outfit 2, Favorite outfit 3. For the most part, it’s a simple blog, easy to read and appreciate.
Third is Style Bubble, based in London. Her outfits are definitely weird, but the photography, when it comes along, is beautiful. She’s always updated on the latest fashion trends and shows it to you through her pictures. Not only does she show clothes, but she’s constantly supplying images of crazy shoes. Even though you may have to have a certain taste for her sense of fashion, you learn to think of it as interesting... (What’s up with the dead bird on her head?)
In all these blogs, the girls are sure of what they want to do and the photography is beautiful. I look up to them for that. Yet, when I start my own blog, I’m going to incorporate photography depicting girls that look more real – meaning, not 90 pounds and close to fainting. Those girls aren’t the real girls I see everyday. They’re just the ones that get accepted into society’s idea of the ideal woman. Sure, they’re pretty, but who says a couple more pounds can’t be beautiful too?
