BY-NC-SA Unemployment among young adults is worse than the U.S. average with little relief is in sight. For 20- to 24-year-olds, the jobless rate rose to 16% in November while unemployment nationally was at 10.2%.
Entry-level salaries are usually lower in tough economic times. How much workers begin their careers earning is one of the biggest factors in how much they will be earning a decade later. The slower start can also influence consumer spending on big purchases like cars and houses.
