R&B sensation Chris Brown was charged with two felonies for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, pop superstar Rihanna. And now he’s facing up to 9 years in prison!

When the news of the beating first broke, I was skeptical Chris Brown could do such a thing because I was a huge fan. I was a member of his website – ChrisBrownWorld.com. I know his favorite food – strawberry cheesecake. His favorite basketball team – Miami Heat. And there was only one reason why I didn’t like Rihanna - she was with Chris Brown.

Now I have sympathy and pity for Rihanna. I sympathize with all of the pain and humiliation she went through, and I pity her because she got back together with Brown.

And it’s not just Rihanna I sympathize with. I feel bad for Chris Brown fans like me who now have to face the facts that the charming man they once looked up to is not the person they thought he was.
