Can you imagine a school, where there’s no test, homework, and finals? Neither can I. But according to the
San Francisco Chronicle there’s a new school for
New York City teens who might be in danger of dropping out of school.
Lafayette Big Picture High School, where students spend two days out of their regular high school to create their own learning plans, set their own goals and spends quality time with their mentors. The students learn “real world” skills through internships, portfolios, oral presentation, and working closely with students, advisers and mentors.
This school comes at the right time because now these young people can learn how to survive financially during a
recession.
