Oakland voters also approved Measures C, D, and H.
Measure C will provide funding for the Oakland Zoo and other top educational attractions like Oakland Museum and the Chabot Space & Science Center. (via Ballot Pedia)
Measure D will amend Measure 00—currently requires the city to set a side 1.5% of its annual income. By passing Measure D the city will be required to set a side 3% of their annual income for the next twelve years starting July 1, 2009. The income saved will go towards funding Kids First!—a fund that gives grants to organizations that provide children’s and youth services and programs.(via Smart Voter)
Measure H will ensure that property transfers through corporate mergers are taxable the same way as other property transfers in the city of Oakland.
