(download mp3)I go to a small school called Lachiem in Richmond, California. My school is pretty diverse. Students segregate themselves although they do not have to. The school is made so that students feel comfortable and safe. Everyone communicates with one another in class, but at lunch people split up and go with their own race. They do not make the effort to step outside their box. .There is racism; it’s more subtle than it was in the past. It’s really weird that this is happening only at lunch time.
