Slap-per (Slahp- Er)- (noun) A tremendously infectious musical selection, often played repeatedly at high volumes. (see also Slaps, Knock, Bump, The Jam, etc)

It's getting to be "sun season,"  and that means less clothes, and MORE music!  If you're like me, always flipping through CDs and playlists, trying to settle on that perfect "slapper," than it's time to turn your ride ino a time machine. 

On this day (Apr 17) in the 90's these were considered the Slap:

Present: Black Eyed Peas- Boom Boom Pow 

This hard pounding 808 driven Slap topped the Billboard charts for a second week in a row.  It's hard not to get your groove on to this song right here.  I realy fell in love with this track when I heard Fergie say "I'm so 3008/ You so 2000 and LATE!."  check it out!

I'm predicting this will have a healthy life on the charts...until This Drops!

Future: Lil Wayne- Hot Revolver

I was skeptical of Lil Wayne's transition from Rocker to Rapper when I heard his track "Prom Queen,"  but after hearing this track, I'm convinced: Weezy can rock out.  The lyrics and storytelling of the song are superb and the production is even better.

This will definitely be a big hit soon.
