Rocking out and buying health insurance usually don’t go hand in hand. Plain and simple, health insurance it not an issue often discussed in the music world. Up-and-coming artists are often times low on cash and throwing all the money they do have into getting their career off the ground. Even some major artists lack health insurance, as was in the case of R&B star and two-time stoke survivor Angela Bofill. I met Bofill where she currently lives, a convalescent home in Vallejo. It was hard to believe I was talking to the same woman I had just watched on YouTube, young and beautiful as ever, singing her heart out to adoring fans. Now, Angela has trouble even speaking. It amazed me that an artist like Angela Bofill could be signed to major labels, have a song in the Billboard top ten, sell hundreds of thousands of albums, and still wind up strapped for cash when she needed it most. Many people don’t think about the doctor until something horrible happens, and sometimes, it’s too late. It took meeting Angela Bofill to prove that to me. Previously:
