Life is a beautiful thing and it shouldn’t be wasted. You should love that you are alive and you can wake up every morning and do what you to want because it’s your life. When you kidnap a person it’s like taking away a person's life. The 17-year-old boy who escaped his torturers and was found at a gym in Tracy had a whole year of his life taken away. It was a year, he told police, when was chained and kept in a garage. He was burned and beaten with an aluminum bat, with a belt and cut with a knife. The boy, whose face and name we do not know from the media, and who suffered malnutirition, was forced to watch his kidnappers, Kelly Layne Lau and her husband, Michael Schumacher, eat with their children. These horrible things happened may times over a whole year, perhaps more. And then he then there was that moment when he made a run for freedom, when he slipped out of the house's back door, hopped a fence and ran into an  fitness center to get help.

I’m 17 years old myself and I can’t believe this would happen to a boy my age. These three adults to me are wrong for abusing him and dothing these things to a young man. The life sentence charges speak for themselves. I'm glad his life is back in his hands and not other peoples'.
