January means more than a new year, it means NEW TECH!

CES

This year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will feature the latest new trending gadgets and technologies. The Las Vegas-held event will be from January 7th to January 10th. According to The Huffington Post, we can expect the biggest anticipation to be about 3D television with Sony and Panasonic leading the pack in the race for third dimension. Sony in particular are surely salivating over the box office reciepts for the 3D film Avatar. Their PlayStation 3 game/blu ray player is already spec'd to handle 3D.

Apple

With the ongoing buzz for the Apple Tablet (NOT pictured above), the Wall Street Journal reports that the device is planned to be shipped in March but changes may occur; thus, it has not been finalized. Speaking of Apple, the company plans to unveil the news of a new “major” product at a media event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco on January 27th. Two plus two might equal tablet, but then again it takes both hands and a few toes to count the number of times Apple watchers have been convinced that THIS TIME was going to be when Steve Jobs announced The Beatles on iTunes.
