There are many questions about who should take custody of Michael Jackson’s kids. Celebrity kids never seem to have a voice when it comes to the public. You mostly see their parents doing all the talking for them and making all the decisions. For example, celebrity parents like Jon and Kate seem to ignore what their children want. Kate pulls her children out of school and takes them on vacations pulling them away from their education. She also has the kids working long hours for their reality show. I think this is wrong for her to do because they are still very young; they cannot be rehearsing for such long hours every day. I think that celebrity parents need to let their kids speak their mind and make decisions for themselves. At times, I wonder what it is the celebrity kids want and what they have to say.

In my opinion, I think it is very important to know what the kids prefer for themselves and how they would want to sort things out. For example, in my family, my parents always ask my brothers and me for our opinions on decisions they are planning to make. My brothers are younger than I am, but I don’t think age should be a reason to ignore one's desires or opinions. For example, a few months ago, my parents called us to the living room and asked us if we wanted to have one of our rooms rented out to a stranger. My parents wanted our opinions because that would mean that we would also be living with other people if it were to happen. I liked the fact that they asked all of us because we were able to talk about it and come to an agreement. We all decided that it was better for us not to rent a room because we wouldn’t have privacy, and the reason we bought a house in the first place was so that we could call it our own. So we decided to stay with the house to see how things work out, and maybe in the future we would decide to rent out an extra room.

I like the fact that they take us into consideration in the decisions they plan to make. It makes me feel good because they care about what we want, and I think it is important because no matter what, the decisions they end up making are going to end up affecting all of us.

I only wish that celebrities would do the same for their kids.
