Very, Very Democratic Bazaar Youth Radio’s Sophie Simon-Ortiz and Ashley Hayes went to the Boston Common for a protest event called the Very, Very Democratic Bazaar. With helicopters circling overhead and mounted police standing by, they met radical cheerleaders and a group called Pirates Against Bush. (July 31 on KPFA)
College Dems at Harvard
Boston is a big college town, and campus political groups there have been closely following the convention. Youth Radio's Jacob Schneider went to Harvard University to watch the coverage with a group of College Democrats of America from around the country, and sent in this audio postcard.
Ilana Wexler
Youth Radio TV got an exclusive interview with 13 year-old Ilana Wexler from Montclair, California, minutes after her speech at the convention. She's the youngest speaker at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, and the founder of Kids for Kerry.

Mistral Party
Last night, John Kerry supporters Robert Crowe and John Manning held a dinner honoring Teresa Heinz Kerry at a local Boston restaurant. Youth Radio’s Luis Sierra stopped by the restaurant while they were setting up for the big event. (July 29 on NPR's Morning Edition)

Young Latino Delegate
21-year-old Alejandro Aviles is attending his first Democratic convention this week. He’s an alternate delegate to Arkansas and is the youngest Latino delegate from the southern state. Youth Radio’s Luis Sierra has been following him around this week. (July 28 on NPR's All Things Considered)
Day 4 at the DNC

Youngest Texan Delegate
Youth Radio's Jacob Schneider talked to 19-year old Karl-Thomas Musselman, the youngest Texan delegate
to attend the Democratic National Convention. He will enter his second year of college this fall, studying government at the University of Texas in Austin.
Emily Liner: Young Delegate
18-year old Mississippi delegate, Emily Liner, is one of the youngest at the convention. She says she’s about to be a first generation college student at Georgetown, and aspires to become a U.S. senator or ambassador. (July 27 on NPR's Day to Day)
Voices from North End
In Boston's North End, the Democratic National Convention wasn't the only big event in town. Residents there were busy celebrating the Annual Feast of St. Joseph. Youth Radio's Ashley Hayes and Jacob Schneider went to the three day festival to find out what locals think about the convention coming to their neighborhood.
