Super Bowl 39
"This victory won’t come easy, for championships usually don’t, but the Patriots should win another – without relying on Adam Vinetari’s clutch kicks."
By Nico Savidge
Can anyone stop the New England Patriots? I don’t think so. For the second time, the Colts couldn’t beat them; Big Ben, the Bus and the rest o the Steelers couldn’t stop them, and the Eagles, even Terrell Owens is healthy, shouldn’t be able to stop the Pats this Sunday.
New England has won two of the past three Super Bowls. This year, they will yet again be themselves and win a second straight and third one in four years. The game will be on Sunday, and they will be up against the Eagles.
This victory won’t come easy, for championships usually don’t, but the Patriots should win another – without relying on Adam Vinetari’s clutch kicks, which really isn’t a bad thing, and opens up other receivers. However with the Pats, the defense will find a way to get the job done with tons of QB pressure to knock Donovan McNabb off of his game, which is their style.
Generally, the Pats shut down the run t make the team rely almost fully on the pass, and then intercept and break up as many passes as possible to get the QB off his game. They did this all the time in their past two playoff games and probably will do it again against Donovan McNabb. Really, it’ll take a career day from everyone on the Eagles for them to win, as well as a terrible game by Bay Area born Tom Brady, who’s always clutch.
I think that we will see a mildly lopsided game between these two teams. Not one like two years ago when the Raiders got destroyed by the Buccaneers, but probably a fourteen or seventeen point win for New England. Hey, we haven’t seen a Patriots choke in the past few years, and I doubt we’ll see one Sunday, T.O. or no T.O.
