The gun should not be blamed for violence.
It’s crazy for young teenagers nowadays cuz they get killed for stupid reasons like clothes drugs, cars or where they live.
In D.C. area neighborhoods, street fights are rarely one on one. If it’s a group of people walking, and you see someone you are beefing wit, you and your friends beat him up, but then he comes back with his boys and try to get revenge.
A couple of years ago a kid got shot for a pair of shoes in Union Station, just cuz he had em and another person didn’t. The robber probably thought, “I need to kill him before he kills me.” So that’s what people think they have to do to survive nowadays.
The way things are, with people getting shot left and right, I’m scared to even think of my future. I’ve been feeling this way since I was sixteen. I never plan ahead, because I don’t know what’s going to happen the next day.
