Youth Voices on Life After Hurricane Katrina is a special broadcast dedicated to the voices and perspectives of young people around the country whose lives were changed by the storm. We'll hear from those who had to leave their homes, to those who welcomed new houseguests and distant relatives into their lives, to those who helped with the rescue and recovery effort. We'll also celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the area.

Rites of Passage
This month's show is a special on Rites of Passage: From the Traditional to the Unexpected. We'll hear about common rituals, like moving away to college, or getting married. But we'll also explore experiences that aren't often seen as rites of passage, like undergoing a sex change, or harassment by the police as an initiation into adulthood.
