Effects of Smoking

"I don't like my family to smoke because it fills their bodies with harmful, dangerous chemicals."

Listen to this Commentary!

By Eric Walker

A few years from now I hope that a lot of people and teens don't smoke, because I am looking at my cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents smoke. I don't like my family to smoke because it fills their bodies with harmful, dangerous chemicals. They also poison the organs of their children by exposing them to second-hand smoke. I remember my own sister, who suffers from asthma coughing in front of my grandfather as he smoked in front of her. But he just kept on puffing, even after I asked him to stop. It's as if he hasn't listened to any of the latest research on tobacco, as if he forgot that my other grandfather died from smoking.
