Corporal Punishment

"Spanking as a form of punishment seems only to make children act worse."

By Ogechi Chioma

I just don't get why parents spank and beat their children.

Spanking as a form of punishment seems only to make children act worse than they did before. Girls start wearing short skirts and shorts. Boys might skip school, join a gang, or even kill and rape people.

That's why I say that parents shouldn't beat their children. Why not listen to them instead?

Ogechi Chioma is a 7th grader at Sequoyah Middle School in Atlanta, Georgia.
