Teen pregnancy is something people see all the time. Some teens are sad because
they are pregnant, or they got someone pregnant. I know what’s running up and
down your mind from experience. My mom and dad were about to kill me when
I told them I had a baby on the way, but it worked out in the end.
I was at home, in my bedroom, and Melissa, my girlfriend, came to my room and
she said, “Baby, I’m pregnant.” And she asked me how I felt. I told her I felt
good about it. At the same time, I was thinking my life was going away. But
in the end, it was all about me being a dad.
Look at me now. I have a four-month year old son. I’m about to finish school
in the class of ’04. I have a good life. For all the teens, think about the
bad. And then think about the good. And just work from there.
I learned the most important thing is to show love and support, and I hope I
can help you.
