Clothes As An Expression of You

"Clothes can describe people, they make a statement."

By Joshua Grubbs

I think clothes can show how you express yourself; they can also be used for just fashion. Clothes can describe people, they make a statement. Some people dress to show how important or hard they are, some wear different colors to match their mood, and others use colors for bad reasons, such as showing which gang or area they are representing.

Other people use colors to show they are happy and may use them to show that they’re mad. For example, if I were to be a person who wears a white T-shirt everyday, that can make people stereotype me. They might think I was a plain person.

Wearing a white T can also mean that a person has an indescribable personality. Clothes can show how people are feeling that day. Just by seeing what someone is wearing, you can tell how they’re going to be that day. I love clothes and believe they are an important part of today’s culture.
