Sneaker Freak

"The shoes I usually purchase are Nikes and Air Jordans, but I still like the classics such as Adidas and Pumas."

By Oliver Rodriguez

Many of my friends call me the sneaker freak because I buy shoes wherever I go. It all started around the age of thirteen, when I got my first pair of Jordans. I was so excited I wore them the next day to school. It felt so good to finally have a pair of nice kicks.

At the age of sixteen, I realized how much I liked shoes. I was so serious about collecting, I didn’t wear the new pairs I got, and I kept the old ones. Both my family and friends looked at me crazy because I didn’t wear my shoes.

The shoes I usually purchase are Nikes and Air Jordans, but I still like the classics such as Adidas and Pumas. The most I ever paid for a pair of shoes was about one hundred and seventy dollar, and the least amount was about thirty. I can say I have twenty pairs of Nikes and five pairs of Jordans.

I love the smell of new shoes and the first time I lace them up is the best feeling in the world. You can say I am a sneaker freak addict. I usually spend my whole paycheck at the shoe store. I love shoes and I would never trade my shoe collection for anything in the world.
