School Shootings

In the wake of last week’s shooting at a high school in Cleveland, Ohio Youth Radio correspondents from across the country weigh in about safety and violence in schools. Youth discuss their own safety, analyze the factors that contribute to school shootings, and suggest possible solutions to the problem. (October 17th on NPR’s On Point)

School Safety
Teens from five cities across the county discuss whether or not they feel safe at school. School is an often inhospitable place for kids who don’t fit in. Three students discuss why they think outcasts and loners are so often driven to commit school shootings.
