Social networking sites allow users to express themselves in many different ways. Some even create profiles for their alter-ego while others create “hate” groups. Teens aren’t the only ones getting bullied as teachers are getting cyber bullied by their students. A study in England says that more than one in seven teachers in the U.K. has been the victim of cyber bullying by their students or parents.
The survey of 630 teachers and support staff found that 15% had been bullied online – with tactics ranging from abusive messages to hate sites and photographs or videos being posted. Some 45% knew a colleague who had been a victim, and 17% were aware of hate groups being set up to target others.

Teachers are also raising concern that students who don’t meet Facebook’s age requirement of 13 are on the site contributing to the bullying. Facebook said they will and continue to delete accounts that breach their rules on bullying and harassment by intimidating others.
