En las cárceles de San Diego promueven arte, como algo que los prisioneros pueden usar para expresar sus sentimientos y  para describir sus experiencias en la cárcel. Esta nueva promoción llamada “Pinto Art” es una iniciativa del Comité de Presos Mexicanos Latinos. Los dibujos se utilizaran para educar a jóvenes acerca de la vida detras de las barras. There are two different ways to describe Latino’s roles in this election: the “Latino Vote” or should I say “Swing Vote”. Jorge Ramos, reporter for Univision and one of the most influential journalists in the Latino community, reports on these roles and educates people about the importance of the Latino vote in this election.

For decades, bad economies abroad forced the separation of families as people left loved ones to seek better opportunities in the United States. Now that the U.S. economy is faltering, some immigrant families are being separated again as some family members decide to return to their home countries, and others continue to hold onto the American dream. Often, these difficult family decisions come down to generational differences.

This is my father, a few minutes before he left on a plane to go back to Mexico, for good.

Suriyanee: We're gonna have some Thai food today.  Siete Mares sea food soup and we have arroz frito con camaron.

Evelyn: Yep. You heard right. Camarone is a Spanish word for shrimp.
