Man…What’s up pimpin my name’s Khyree. I’m a resident in this Camp Sweeney place. I’m in here because of some dumb and stupid decisions that I made in the past. Anyways what I learned in here is that when you don’t have a plan you most likely going to fail. So now when I get out of this shit hole I plan on going to Chabot College and honestly try to take classes to become a male nurse.

It’s going to take me about four years of school and a lot of homework, I know it kind of sounds funny me wanting to become a nurse and all but hey once I get there I know it’s going to keep me from doing dumb stuff. Plus the pay starts off at 34 dollars an hour so yeah it’s going to be all good for me and my familla.

Derrick Rose was the number one pick in the 2009 NBA draft. The point guard out of the University of Memphis was selected by the Chicago Bulls. He is my pick for Rookie of The Year. The Chicago native is playing in his hometown but he seems to be dealing with the pressure well. He was the nation’s top high school point guard in 2007. He was Illinois Mr. Basketball in 2007. He was the skills challenge champion at the 2009 NBA all-star weekend beating Devin Harris, Mo Williams, and Tony Parker.

I am passionate about wrestling. I remember watching it on TV and on the Olympics. By seeing these athletes toss and grapple each other I developed an interest in the sport. Since then I have started to wrestle with my brothers and then gotten yelled at by my mom for making too much noise in the house. I have always liked sports with physical contact I like using my body as a way to perform moves that seem impossible to do. It’s the rush and contact you get that gets me pumped up and ready to wrestle. I started out with wrestling in the 8th grade.

I am thinking about how one little slip can mess up your life like when Kermit Washington knocked out Rudy Tomjanovich and lost his career as a professional basketball player. He redeemed himself by doing good for folks in Africa. Then people saw his good side and the NBA commissioner gave him a chance back as a coach.

I need to redeem myself in many ways, ways that are unexplainable. The only way to change is to change my actions. Life is a beautiful thing. It is also a process but it will not be easy. It takes time and effort to get where you want to be. I feel I need to do better in this life I was given. For me life is a continuous journey that hasn’t ended. I’m not sure when it will. It’s a mystery. Until then I have to remain good with others involved in my life.
