Reyna Gillead

Spring 2000

A graduate of Holy Names High, Reyna has worked at Youth Radio as a peer teacher, news reporter and producer. She was a member of the news team that produced the acclaimed series, "Making the Grade," which won the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio and Television News Directors Association and the John Swett Award from the California Teachers Association. In May, 2002, Reyna represented Youth Radio at the Peabody Awards ceremony in New York City. She attends Emerson College in Boston, and is currently studying in Spain.
