Gabriela Jacobo

Spring 2001

Gabby was a commentator and reporter at Youth Radio, and at the same times she was involved with her high school radio station, KECG, where she had a weekly talk show. When she was a junior, Gabby won a video contest for her documentary "Homeless." Her work for Youth Radio has aired on KCBS and KQED. In May, 2002, Gabby represented Youth Radio at the Peabody Awards ceremony in New York City. Gabby won a Jessica Mitford Scholarship from the San Francisco Media Alliance, and one from the GAP Foundation. She's currently studying at the University of Vermont at Burlington.
