While at Youth Radio, her commentaries and features ran on local stations, on Public Radio International and on National Public Radio. She contributed to the series, "Making the Grade," which won the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio and Television News Director's Association. She lives in Oakland with her two sons and works at Pacific Bell.
